Safari Lee works across painting, screen and objects. Concepts relating to power and pleasure feature throughout her work, and she enjoys exploring multiple mediums, according to what the work dictates.
Safari graduated from Enmore Design Center in 2010, having studied Jewellery Manufacturing and is completing a BVA at Sydney College of the Arts. In 2016 Safari received the Jerome de Costa and Dorothy Downes Memorial Scholarship and Verge Awards People’s Choice Award for her film work Passing Through, and this year has been awarded the 2017 Zelda Stedman Young Artist Scholarship.
